TRACEABILITY

TOPSCAN DEVICE

The MODI incoming goods scanner can be extended by a top scanner with ADOMO® technology, as some components have to be scanned from two sides due to the packaging. The component roller no longer needs to be rotated. This also makes it much easier to stick on or read printed labels! The MODI TopScan is also equipped with infinitely variable height adjustment. This ensures that the same distance from the camera to the label to be read is always maintained, regardless of the packaging size.

INTEGRATION OF TOUCH PANELS

Now the operator begins processing the delivered items in any order. For example, when a component roll is placed on the reading surface, the manufacturer‘s label is read and registered within seconds. All captured content is immediately compared with the article master database. If all information matches and the item is approved, a customer-specific label with a unique identification number is generated. The label is placed on the component roll and verified in a verification process. This confirms whether it contains the correct content on the correct material. After this step, the process is completed for the operator.

LABELSMOBILE

LabelsMobile is all about mobile label recording in the incoming goods department or on the production line using a tablet. Large and heavy materials cannot be handled at the incoming goods scanner, which is why MODI offers the option of registering labels using a mobile solution. The incoming goods are registered via tablet and sent to the incoming goods scanner for checking via WLAN. The result of the test is shown both on the tablet and on the display. All features for reading codes on labels are therefore equally available.

The MODI software can be easily integrated into existing systems, so there are various scenarios that can be realized:

  • LAN/USB for label printer
  • Common ERP/MES interfaces (web service, RFC, IDOC, API, etc.)
  • Interfaces to placement machines via web service or simple file exchange (XML, CSV, etc.)
  • TCP/IP network interface for simple file transfer

In addition to the standard ERP connection, the MODI system is also able to communicate with various MES, warehouse management and placement systems, so that optimum and customized integration into the processes can be guaranteed.

An ergonomic workstation is all about ensuring that work is carried out efficiently and without errors. The MODI system can be adapted to any operator thanks to its infinitely variable height adjustment. Staff therefore work more efficiently and with fewer pain-related breaks due to tension in the neck area. Even if the same activity is carried out over a longer period of time, employees are protected from damage to their health and later also from absences due to back problems.
